Courage To Act: Breaking The Silence

Healing and support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault

About This Program

Courage To Act (CTA) is a program for young women ages 17-30 who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, or abusive relationships. Built by survivors, advocates, and professionals who understand the healing process firsthand, CTA uses a 4-Pillar Framework: Heal (trauma-informed counseling and support groups), Strengthen (financial literacy and career readiness), Rise (goal setting and education access), and Lead (mentorship and community advocacy). The program is free for participants with low to moderate income, and all information is kept strictly confidential.

The Challenge

Survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault often face barriers to recovery including lack of safe spaces, limited access to counseling, financial instability, and isolation. Young women in foster care, college, or unstable housing situations are especially at risk and need support that addresses the whole picture, not just one piece.
