Workforce Development

Corporate Partnership Creates Pipeline

TechBridge LA partnered with GOT CONNECTIONS to create a direct hiring pipeline from our Workforce Development program. In 2025, they hired 12 program graduates into entry-level tech support roles with starting salaries of $45,000+. All 12 employees are still with the company and three have received promotions.

Youth Empowerment

Youth Coding Program Sparks Career Path

Through our Youth Empowerment digital arts track, 16-year-old Aiden discovered a passion for coding. His mentor connected him with a summer internship at a local tech startup. He now leads coding workshops for younger participants and plans to pursue a degree in software engineering.

Housing Stability Support

Family Averts Housing Crisis

When the Garcia family faced eviction due to a medical emergency, our Housing Stability team connected them with emergency rental assistance, negotiated with their landlord, and enrolled them in financial literacy workshops. One year later, the family is in stable housing with an emergency savings fund.

Digital Literacy & Access

Grandmother Bridges the Digital Divide

At 68, Rosa had never used a computer. After completing our Digital Literacy program, she can now video call her grandchildren, manage her healthcare appointments online, and even helps other seniors at her community center learn basic computer skills. She received a refurbished laptop through our device distribution program.

Mentorship Network

First-Generation College Student

James, a participant in our Youth Empowerment and Mentorship programs, became the first person in his family to attend college. With guidance from his GOT CONNECTIONS mentor, he navigated the application process, secured financial aid, and is now studying Computer Science at Cal State Northridge while volunteering as a peer mentor.

Workforce Development

From Unemployment to Healthcare Career

Maria was unemployed for two years before joining our Workforce Development program. After completing her CNA certification through our training partnership, she secured a position at a local healthcare facility earning $22/hour. Within a year, she was promoted to a senior role and began mentoring new program participants.

What People Say

"Before GOT CONNECTIONS, I had been out of work for two years. The workforce program gave me certifications, interview skills, and most importantly, the confidence to walk into a room and know I belonged. I now work as a medical assistant earning more than I ever have."

Maria G.

Workforce Development Graduate, 2024

"My mentor helped me navigate the college application process when no one in my family had ever attended college. Now I am a junior at Cal State Northridge and I mentor younger students. GOT CONNECTIONS didn't just help me. They showed me how to help others."

James T.

Mentee & Now Volunteer Mentor

"The after-school program has been a game-changer for my son. His grades went from Cs to As, and he picked up a real love for coding through the digital literacy sessions. The staff genuinely care about every kid who walks through the door."

Denise W.

Parent of Youth Program Participant

"Working with GOT CONNECTIONS has been one of our best hiring decisions. The workforce development graduates we have brought on are well-prepared, motivated, and bring fresh perspectives to our team. It is a partnership that actually works."
